With Deep Gratitude,
I wanted to let you know how much your services meant to me. Just
calling you to come to our house was so tough. Ted, my soon to
be 17 year old Golden Retriever
was not doing
well. He'd had a long run but I just couldn't let him go.
He was such a special boy.
He was a pet therapy dog. We visited nursing homes. You explained to me how
dogs, especially Golden Retrievers, are pleasers and he was hanging on to please
me. We talked about how a pet deserves dignity and I had to give him permission
to go. You spent so much time with us explaining the whole process. I really
appreciated your explanation of the last moments of life and how death would
occur. I had never put a pet down or been with anyone who was dying before.
One week later my mother, who had had a stroke, passed away. The
nursing home had called in the morning to tell me that it was just
a matter of hours. I spent the last moments of my mother's life
right by her side. Because of your time with me, I was more prepared
for her passing. I held her hand when she took her last breath and
I wasn't frightened by the labored breathing that often precedes
My husband has said that it is such a pleasure to be in the presence
of someone who is truly extraordinary at what they do. You obviously
have a love and respect for animals. You made a very hard time for
me much less difficult.
|To have to put down my second
dog a few months later seemed unreal. Amber, my yellow lab,
was 13, which is an old girl, but Ted had lasted so long I felt
she had more time left. It was sad to watch how quickly she
went downhill after her buddy Ted died. you were there for us
again helping me to read her and see that she was in great pain
and it was time.
I have referred several friends to you to help them. Thank you
so much for your services and your compassion.
We would like to thank you for helping us to
get through one of the most difficult times in our lives. You are
a very wonderful person with a warm and kind heart. It seems that
warmth and caring comes naturally to you.
